September Bike Ride to Quidi Vidi Harbour

Saturday, Sept. 21, 2-3:30 p.m.

230 Prince Philip Dr., Queen's College building parking lot

This month we’ll be admiring some early autumn views on our cycling excursion to Quidi Vidi Harbour. This is an easy route (mostly downhill) and should take about 20 to 30 minutes. The excursion will take us across Rennie’s River, along Rennie’s Mill Rd. and the north side of Quidi Vidi Lake, and finish at picturesque Quidi Vidi Harbour.

At 1:45 PM, we will start to gather in the parking lot at the Queen’s College building on the main campus (MUN). We’ll leave in small groups starting at 2 PM with experienced riders at the front and back of each group. Groups will be staggered about 5 minutes apart.

Whether you’re a student or a member of the public who likes cycling, everyone is welcome to join us. The excursion is free but we ask that you please email us in advance (munbikehub@gmail.com) so that we have an idea of how many people will be in the group. It helps us plan better and avoid blocking traffic. If you forget to message us in advance, don’t worry. Feel free to join us at Queen’s College or along the route.

If you are interested in joining the excursion and live in the downtown area, let us know. If there is enough interest, we may plan a second starting point downtown, with a route that will meet up with the main groups along the way.
