Music at Memorial’s Fall 2021 Mainstage Series.

Florian Hoefner introduces his Montréal based trio featuring Adrian Vedady on bass and Jim Doxas on drums, both on faculty at McGill University. The 3 will present a program of original jazz compositions by some of the most iconic Black American jazz artists including Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Bud Powell. They will explore this repertoire through the lens of modern jazz, featuring the hallmark energetic playing style of one of Canada’s most revered bass and drums duos.
