The departments in the Faculty of Science at Memorial University are signing a Sustainable Science Commitment – a framework developed by Beyond Benign to unite the green chemistry higher education community around a common vision to: expand the community of green chemists, grow departmental resources, improve connections to job opportunities, and affect systemic and lasting change in chemistry education. The Faculty of Science are commiting to progressively implement the objectives of the commitment not only within our chemistry department, but within the entire Faculty of Science which includes the departments of Biochemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Ocean Sciences, Physics and Physical Oceanography, Psychology, the FoS Supply Chain Management, and the Dean of Science office.

The event will conclude with a coffee and networking break, providing the opportunity for discussion and the sa=haring of ideas for sustainability action.
