Join us for the 100th anniversary celebration of the birth of legendary musician and composer Astor Piazzolla and the little-known connection between him and Jorge Luis Borges, one of the most important figures of Latin American literature. ¡Tanguissimo! Piazzolla meets Borges is the result of a collaboration between guitarist Sylvie Proulx and Spanish professor Myriam Osorio. The multidisciplinary program features School of Music faculty and students as well as Dr. John Turci-Escobar, Butler School of Music, University of Texas. Don‘t miss this rare opportunity to discover the fiery encounter of these two giants of Argentinean culture!
