Teaching Assistant Training Program

Program objectives include introducing new graduate students and future teaching assistants to the roles, responsibilities, and relevant policies for TAs. An electronic certificate of completion will be provided. *Please note that the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science offers its own TA training program, therefore thesis-based engineering students are noteligible.*

Brightspace: The Basics, Course Content and Communications

In – Person Sessions:

Topics:

(1) Introduction and Roles and Responsibilities of a TA

(2) Qualities of an Effective TA

(3) Communication in the Classroom

(4) MUN Policies Affecting TAs

(5) Grading and Dealing With Problems

(6) Case Studies and Final Q and A

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Students must attend all sessions to receive an electronic certificate of completion.

Registration Deadline: October 16th, 2023 at 12:00pm.
