Three Minute Thesis 2022 Competition

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed in 2008 by The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia. Research students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance. 3MT is not an exercise in trivialising or ‘dumbing-down’ research, but challenges students to consolidate their ideas and research discoveries so they can be presented concisely to a non-specialist audience. 3MT competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills.

Date and Time: Monday, November 28th, 2022, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. NDT

Location: The Landing (UC3015), in the University Centre
Applications must be received by Friday, November 18th, 2022. Students must submit ONE PowerPoint slide to xw8080@mun.ca on or before Wednesday, November 23. This slide cannot be revised and resubmitted after Wednesday.
