Who Am I When I Teach?: A Creative Practice Workshop

Tuesday, Sept. 1, 12-2 p.m.

ED-1001

Professional learning doesn’t always happen through presentations or new teaching strategies. Sometimes it begins by slowing down and making space to create.

In this creative workshop, faculty will step away from the usual pace of academic life to explore their teaching identities through collage. Guided by contemplative pedagogy and arts-based research, the workshop offers an opportunity to reconnect with the creative dimensions of teaching while making a creative artifact that can support future teaching reflection and dossier development. The session encourages participants to see arts-based practice as a meaningful way to support reflection and the ongoing work of re-imagining higher education. No artistic experience is necessary!

This event will be held in person in ED 1001 (TLX) on Memorial’s St. John’s Campus.

Registration is required for this event.
