Angela Antle was the 2025 Rachel Carson writer-in-
residence at Munich’s LMU. An artist a n d former CBC
producer, Antle hosts and produces the podcast
CYRE, is an interdisciplinary PhD candidate at
Memorial University and a member of Norway’s
E m p o w e r e d Futures: A Global Research School
Navigating the Social and Environmental
Controversies of Low-Carbon Energy Transitions. Her
research intersects climate communications and
justice, disinformation, petrocultures, and political
rhetoric. She writes about Energy Futures for The
Independent.ca and her debut novel The Saltbox
Olive was released in June by Breakwater Books.
Registration is not required to attend the talk.
This talk is a part of the For A New Earth Public Seminar in
Environmental Ethics, which will continue with a series o f
presentations in Cupids on August 14 a n d 15.
