Yoga and White Public Space
Wednesday, March 9, 7:30-9 p.m.
Join MMaP scholar-in-residence Dr. Rumya Putcha (University of Georgia) for this free online talk.
Goat yoga, beer yoga, trap yoga, holy yoga, museum yoga. These are just a few examples of the way yoga has become domesticated in the Anglo-American context, particularly in public spaces. This talk explores how that happened and what it reveals about yoga as well as the way we think about public space.

This event is cohosted with the Nexus Centre, in partnership with the Departments of Folklore and Gender Studies and the Internationalization Office.
