Livestream: Unveiling the Danger Tree at Beaumont-Hamel, France

Join members of the Memorial University community as we gather to watch the live stream of the official unveiling of the new Danger Tree replica, constructed by Memorial’s Technical Services, at the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial in France. As Memorial University wraps up its 100th anniversary, we are reflecting on our founding purpose as a living memorial to the Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who served during the First World War.  

Join us in person or virtually as we witness the next chapter in the story of the Danger Tree and honour the sacrifices of those who served, while celebrating Memorial University’s continuing role in remembrance, reflection and commemoration. 

12:00 P.M.          Memorial Day exhibit – Visit the QEII Library lobby for an exhibit of First World War  artifacts 

1:00 P.M.            Rebroadcast of Building from Memory: Recreating the Danger Tree (held on May 1),  Bruneau Centre for Research & Innovation Inco Theatre, IIC-2001
