Research Week 2023 Fireside Chat: A Conversation with Banting Post-doctoral Fellows

Get ready to be inspired! As part of Research Week, you’re invited to a Fireside Chat: A Conversation with Banting Postdoctoral Fellows, to learn about their personal research journeys and their leading-edge research programs. They’ll also share some inspiring insight for current and future graduate students.

This hybrid event is hosted collaboratively by the School of Graduate Studies and the Office of the Vice-President (Research).

Dr. Ronald Haynes, Acting Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, will facilitate a Fireside Chat with Banting Postdoctoral Fellows, including

  • Dr. Nicole Schott, School of Social Work, whose project is: “Eating Disorder” Treatment, Recovery and Survival: Sharing, Gathering and Co-creating Research-informed Mad Art. Learn more about Dr. Schottl’s research here.
  • Dr. Yiqi Cao, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, whose project is: Developing a sustainable degrade-sequestrate (DS) bioreactor to simultaneously treat marine oily wastewater and capture CO2 in the Arctic and Northern Atlantic Oceans.
