Parking permit renewal

Changes to employee parking permits and renewal reminder

Campus and Community

By Michelle Osmond

Employee parking permits expire on April 30. However, there are a few changes this year in the way that employees renew their permits.

“The first change employees need to be aware of is that we are not mailing letters to individual employees to remind them to renew their permit,” said Mary Beth Delaney, parking project manager, Enterprise Risk Management. “Employees are used to getting a letter around this time of year but we’re really trying to make the whole process more efficient and part of that is reducing unnecessary paperwork.”

“The second change employees need to know about,” Ms. Delaney said, “is that we’re moving to an electronic process for many of our services to make it more efficient for permit holders and for us. Starting April 8, employees can log onto my.mun.ca and under the Employee tab they can use payroll deduction to renew their permit online.”

In the meantime, employees who want to pay for their permit via cash, debit or cheque can visit the parking office, FM-1018, to renew.
