My Camino

Queen Elizabeth II librarian releases latest novel

Research | Books at Memorial

Let there be light, etc.

Floss, a transgender New York gallery owner, is still reeling from the Night of Nights when she invites subversive installation artist Budsy and their best friend the Apostle John to cycle the Camino de Santiago – backwards.

But when Floss tells her friends about her shocking experience at the hands of the King of the New York art scene, the journey becomes an anti-pilgrimage, shifting from spiritual discovery to revenge fantasy.

Following the trio from New York to Spain to Dublin, My Camino’s blistering examination of misfits, identity, art and spirituality sings in the sometimes rhyming, sometimes alliterative, often hilarious, and always pitch-dark monologue of the Apostle John.

My Camino, the latest novel from Patrick Warner, the archives and special collections librarian at the Queen Elizabeth II Library, is published by Biblioasis.
